Children
KidLife, LifePoint's children's ministry, is for children from birth to 6th grade. The Community meets on Sunday mornings during the adult Worship Experience, and The Club meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM.
Kid Club
Kid Club is our midweek environment for children—ages 2 through sixth grade—to come dive deeper into God’s Word through Bible Study and music. Come join us each Wednesday night from 6:30–7:45 beginning 5 September through 7 May.
Bible Study
Half of the night is spent looking into the truths of the Bible and applying it to their own life. Each age group will be involved in a different study:
Two- & Three-Year Olds
Two- and three-year-olds are studying a variety of topics and stories from the Bible. This age group is very busy so they have many hands-on activities each week that they participate in while learning more about Jesus and how he loves them.
Pre-K & Kindergartners
PK/K are learning how to see and delight in God’s glory. Creation proclaims a message about God. From the smallest snowflake to the largest star, all creation gives powerful testimony to the greatness and worth of the one, true, eternal Creator. With special attention given to the Genesis account, the goal of this study is that children view creation as a wonderful gift from a good and loving Creator who wants them to see, understand, and delight in his glory.
First- & Second-Graders
First- and second-graders are studying and learning more about the Bible. God, who is the most valuable being in all the universe, reveals himself with clarity and authority through his Word. This means that the Bible is precious and should be valued more than any other book. This study seeks to acquaint young children with the characteristics of the Bible and its message of redemption. The goal is for children to develop a deep affection for the Bible and learn to treasure its author.
Third- & Fourth-Graders
Third- and fourth-graders are learning how to choose between wisdom and foolishness. Proverbs is a book of great advice...and an ominous warning. The advice is to pursue wisdom. The warning is to avoid folly, because foolishness leads to destruction. Wisdom must be pursued—it takes effort, discipline, a teachable heart, and instruction. This curriculum uses the book of Proverbs and other Bible passages to contrast the way of the foolish with the way of the wise. Using a large banner illustrating two paths, children learn about the characteristics and destinations of the foolish and the wise, the meaning of the fear of the Lord, the treasure of wisdom, and the only way to enter the way of the wise—through Jesus Christ.
Fifth- & Sixth-Graders
Fifth- and sixth-graders are studying the Bible and learning how to persevere in their faith. Christians must be fighters: that is, fighters in the battle for faith! This study identifies various battlegrounds of temptation, and equips children with strategies for fighting against sin. They are encouraged to fuel their faith in God by remembering that strength, help, and victory are assured in Christ. Children are challenged to memorize 50 Fighter Verses to help them in the battle.
Music
The other half of the night, children PK through sixth grade are working on a musical Living Inside Out that will be performed in the spring. Based on Scripture about how we must live as Christians, the story of Zach, a star athlete, unfolds. Injured before a big game, the prideful Zach learns about humility and sacrifice, and how God's ways are different from the world's ways.
Kid Community
The Community is the environment LifePoint uses to teach children to personalize a relationship with Jesus during their developmental stage. Newborns to 3-year-olds go to their classes before worship experience for activities that introduce them to the great stories of the Old and New Testaments. Four-year-olds to 6th graders begin in worship experience with their families, so they can worship through music. During the welcome, children are dismissed with their leaders to their classes for their age-specific Bible stories and activities.
