LifePoint Prayer Requests

Week of 21 July 2008

Sarah (7/20)

Pray for April. She is filing for divorce this week after giving her husband opportunity after opportunity to come clean of his drug addictions, and he's recently become violent with her in front of their children. Pray also for her brother Cody who is fighting Rocky Mountain spotted fever and a MRSA staph infection.

Michelle (7/13)

My uncle David was diagnosed with lung cancer, and it is in his bones, too. Pray for him and his family. He starts chemotherapy this week.

Pastor Lane (6/15)

Pray for my father Lawrence Harrison who was diagnosed with prostate cancer last week. He's scheduled for surgery in September.

Deanna (6/15)

My friend Renee's husband Brian has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. He had been in remission for several years, but unfortunately the cancer has come back with a vengeance. It has riddled his body. He is in his late 40s and the doctors are not giving him much hope. Please pray for Brian, that God's will be done. Also, pray for his wife Renee and daughters Chelsea and Danielle, to give them the strength to deal with Brian's illness and the potential that they may loose their husband and father. Just pray to lift them all up in this time of uncertainty.

Prayer Emphasis

From week to week, we rotate through a fresh elder, key ministry leader, Impact/Project partner, and land emphasis.

Chris Bryant

  • For my and Summer's relationships with the Lord. Pray that he would continue to keep us locked in his Word, changing us, and revealing his will about what he wants to do in our lives. Pray our faith would be huge and be the source that moves us through life.
  • For our marriage to grow in intimacy and love as we adjust to life's changes. Pray that we would love each other selflessly and with much grace.
  • For our child to grow strong and healthy. Pray that we'll trust God's sovereignty and not worry.
  • For our leadership in the youth ministry. Pray that they'll follow God's leading and continue to change and challenge the students to be more dedicated and resolved to follow him.
  • For my work. Pray that I'll learn to better manage my time. Pray that God would show me what to change, pick up, put down, do different, etc. Pray that God would give me the resolve to do all for his glory.
  • For my mom and dad and step-mom. Mom and step-mom have cancer, and Dad simply needs to surrender all of himself to the Lord.

Micah Osborne, Director of Connections

  • That Nicole and I would continue to grow in our relationship with God
  • That Nicole and I would continue to grow in our relationship with each other
  • That God would continue to connect people to him through his body of believers at LifePoint
  • For Nicole as she is working through the physicians' assistants program at MSU
  • For Nicole as she begins to look for a PA position and all of the decisions that come with that
  • That I would keep a good balance between work, home, and ministry
  • That God would give me guidance at work and that my decisions would be in line with his plan

Marc Backes, Eternity

  • That the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart would be pleasing to God
  • That whatever I eat, whatever I drink, whatever I do, I will do all unto the glory of God
  • That my mind, my body, and my soul would be pure and God would protect me from sexual immorality
  • That Jenni and I would grow in our intimacy with God and with one another
  • That God would provide what we need for financial support
  • That we would be godly stewards of every dime that is given to Eternity
  • That I would not be anxious or discouraged about finances or our financial support and that I would know that God will take care of me just as he takes care of two sparrows
  • That God would guide Brooks and Kris Crawford as they seek God's face in their decision on whether to be our worship leaders
  • That the process to establish Eternity as a 501(c)3 would go smoothly
  • That God would give us favor in the eyes of a bank to pre-qualify us to purchase a home
  • That God would lead us to the home that he has for us
  • That God would give me insight into the Scriptures and bless my sermon preparation as I prepare to preach numerous times this summer
  • That the Holy Spirit would begin working now in the hearts of men, women, and families to prepare them to join the core group of Eternity later on this summer
  • That God would open up critical and vital doors of networking to allow me to share the vision of Eternity with as many people as I can, even if it’s thousands
  • That God would begin preparing a place for Eternity to meet
  • That God will give us favor with the leaders of Jefferson City, Cole County, and the state of Missouri

LifePoint Land

Pray for faith in all for God's glory in all (2 Thess. 1:11–12). May we never cease to be about God's glory or experiencing that glory in our midst.
